Consistency is key

Welcome back (to me)
I know I know, what have I been doing since 2018!?? Well...I went on a hiatus from this blog. Here's the deal, 2019 was an incredibly busy year that resulted in tremendous growth for me. I worked on my mental and physical health, my relationships, and focused on maintaining a routine. I made a conscious effort to not only work on myself but to practice consistency. This year I settled into my full-time job, I started therapy, and ran two half marathons.

Career Growth
After graduating from my master's program at LIM I got a full-time job as an e-commerce assistant at one of the Maisons in LVMH. I learned so much about managing an online business. I had the responsibility to manage our website tailored to reach US consumers. I was able to assist in new projects while also incorporating my own ideas into new operational needs.

Personal Growth
Now as for personal growth, in November 2019, I celebrated my one-year anniversary of attending therapy. I was consistently attending sessions once every week. This helped me deal with generalized anxiety, manage my emotions, and unravel my thoughts. Therapy helped me tackle my obstacles by expressing myself instead of bottling my emotions. All in all, I've learned that self-love means putting being consistent, setting goals, and actually following them.
I like to think I'm a HUGE go-getter. Don't get me wrong I can be a total potato couch on the weekends, but that's why it's so important to have goals. I feel as if I'm at my prime whenever I'm at my busiest.
I’ve always made fitness a priority. In 2018, my schedule consisted of yoga and cycling twice a week for a year. Inspired by my amazing friends, I decided to train for a half marathon in 2019. This added a lot to my already busy schedule, but it was so worth it. Here’s some insight into my training; Yoga twice a week, running four times a week, and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) two times a week.
I do have to say that at one point I was so exhausted from working out so much that I burnt myself out and after the second marathon, I told myself I deserved a couple of weeks off. I don't recommend taking that much time off because it's so easy to lose endurance. For example, I was out of breath before even reaching 4 miles on the first run back from my hiatus. Moral of the story: be consistent but in a way that's manageable.

Moving Forward
I hope this gives you all a little bit of what I’ve been up to in 2019. Moving forward, I want to be consistent with my creativity. I had my two beautiful friends, Carlie and Leah, who came out with me to take these fabulous photos. Lastly, I hope everyone has a fabulous New Year filled with a ton of goals and success.
For 2020 let us live our best lives with consistency, prosperity, wealth, and health. xx
